What we can learn from tensile testing.

Tensile testing is a mechanical test in which a sample material is pulled along a single axis until it breaks. The forces applied and the elongation of the material are measured. Some of the key elements we can learn from a tensile test are, a material’s ultimate strength, flexibility, modulus and yield strength. There are a range of different tensile test methods that are tailored to specific use cases and adhesives. At Sabre, we work with our clients to ensure they have the right data they need to make an informed decision.
